Why We Created “We Are” Tenets.
A couple of months ago we began to work on our initial marketing plan. Our goal for this plan was to officially launch Seam Social Labs into the market of B2B and B2G service providers, with a specific focus on being an urban tech solution for communities in the midst of revitalization. After market research and deep insights from leaders of business improvement districts, we began to understand the importance of being a partner over a consultant.
We met with Executive Directors of BIDs who worked 70 hours per week, small business owners in need of more support from the aforementioned Executive Director, and with local government officials expressing their desire to foster deeper connections.
We decided that our support can manifest itself as the facilitator of necessary deeper relationships.
Therefore, we made two major decisions:
Changed our language from clients to partners. Anywhere you read partners in our language, we are referring to our clients who we work to support.
Created tenets that would act as the cornerstones of our partner operations and project management.
